Caistor Grammar School head announces retirement

Long-serving Headmaster of Caistor Grammar School, Roger Hale, has announced he will be retiring at the end of the year, December 2016.

By then, he will have been Head of the successful School for 21 years and have served the School for more than 24 years.

“I have had a wonderful time at Caistor Grammar School,” said Mr Hale.

“It has been a tremendous place to work with fabulous students, staff and governors.

“I will miss it very much but I feel it is time to retire.”

Announcing the news to students and parents, Chair of Governors, John Colley, wrote: “I am taking the unusual step of writing to you because I have some important news.

“Our Headmaster, Mr Roger Hale, has taken the momentous decision to announce his retirement with effect from 31st December 2016.

“At that time, he will have been Headmaster for 21 years and served our School for a total of 24 years and a term.

“There will, I am sure, be many opportunities over the course of the coming year to thank Mr Hale for his distinguished leadership and commitment to the School.

“In the meantime, the Governors will turn their attention to recruiting a worthy successor, someone who will lead our School community to further success and maintain the very high standards to which we have happily become accustomed.”

The School will be advertising for a successor in March.
