Children experience Mongolian culture under canvas!

Pupils at Leadenham Primary School were treated to a week of activities focusing on the culture of Mongolia.

The children spent last week learning about traditional dancing, headdresses and baking, complete with a traditional Mongolian tent called a yurt erected on the field. Then on Friday morning, Kherlen Bolorchuluun, a student from De Montfort University in Leicester, led groups making Mongolian dumplings before baking them over a fire with Martin Rollin from Silverback Bushcraft of Grantham, who will be leading a programme of bushcraft skills sessions with the children over the coming weeks.
