The machine was used to crack secret German codes during the war

The visit to Horncastle is a collaboration between QEGS and the town’s War Memorial Centre whose trustees have provided grant funding.

Students from QEGS, Horncastle Community Primary School and St Andrew’s Primary in Woodhall Spa will attend a demonstration.

In the evening, the machine will be available for the public to see (free admission) in the Main Hall at QEGS from 7.15-8.30pm.

Bill Aron, chairman of the War Memorial Centre, said: “The trustees are pleased to fund this and QEGS have ensured that as many students as possible will benefit.”
