The headteacher of Queen Elizabeth Grammar in Alford has praised GCSE students for achieving 'exceptional results in the most difficult of circumstances'.

Mr Glen Thompson said: "They should be proud of their achievements as we are of them.

"We will be delighted to welcome students back into our Sixth Form in September.".
