Lincs pupils celebrate success in nationwide maths challenge
Pupils from a Lincolnshire primary school are celebrating their success after participating in a nationwide maths challenge.
Children at Bowmandale Primary School in Barton-upon-Humber received prizes after taking part in the annual DoodleLearning Back To School Challenge, by practising maths on DoodleLearning’s award-winning app for just a few minutes each day. Part of the Discovery Education family of services, the DoodleMaths app uses the latest edtech innovations to boost children’s confidence and reward learning.
The Year 5 pupils were rewarded with maths games and certificates , presented by their teachers in school last week.
Jessica Dent, Maths Subject Leader at the school said:

“In our school, the children love using Doodle Maths. It is used throughout school and 'being in the green zone' is something that we celebrate. This competition is always great for encouraging us to get back into the 'little and often' approach to Doodle and is great for promoting teamwork as the classes need to work together. I am so proud of the children in Year 5 who won the competition for all their hard work and they are absolutely thrilled to receive their prizes.”
Michael Savitz, Discovery Education’s UK and International Managing Director said:
