Brigg MP Andrew Percy has been back to school to talk politics.

Mr Percy visited The Vale Academy in Brigg to talk to Year 10 students about Parliament and British Politics.

“I really enjoy these trips back to the classroom to talk to pupils about current and past politics,” said Mr Percy, himself a former teacher, after the visit.

“The pupils at The Vale certainly didn’t disappoint and I received a very warm welcome.

“We covered a wide range of topics with some well thought out questions.

“I especially enjoyed having a really in-depth discussion with some of the students afterwards, regarding the decision to bomb ISIS in Syria.

“The pupils had clearly been paying attention to the discussions on this and it was great to listen to their opinions.”

Mr Percy was elected for a second term to represent the Brigg and Goole constituency at the May 2015 election, increasing his majority over Labour.

He was first elected in 2010, succeeding Labour’s Ian Cawsey.
