New principal will take the reins at Louth Academy

Mr Dickinson will take over from Martin Brown, the current executive principal, who will return to concentrate on his role as deputy chief executive of Tollbar Multi Academy Trust.

Mr Dickinson has a strong track record within the trust’s academies, firstly, as a highly successful history teacher before becoming a curriculum leader and then an assistant principal.

Most recently, he has worked closely with the TMAT chief executive on the strategic leadership of the trust in his role as a human resources officer, supporting the academies with HR issues including recruitment and staff development.

Mr Dickinson said: “The trust has invested in and overseen incredible progress at Louth Academy since its inception in September 2017.

“I feel privileged to have the opportunity to continue this and build on the successful journey students and staff have enjoyed so far.”

Martin Brown, the current executive principal, said: “I am delighted that the trust has been able to appoint such a strong candidate to this important role.

“As a leader with a strong track record, I am sure that Mr Dickinson will prove to be highly successful in continuing our mission to drive year on year improvement at the academy.”

“I have worked with him for many years and know that his personal and professional attributes are exactly what Louth Academy needs to further build on the amazing achievements and progress it has made, in just three short years, under the stewardship of my deputy CEO, Martin Brown.”

“His experience made him the ‘stand out’ candidate to replace Martin Brown, who has successfully overseen not just the trust’s acquisition of the two Louth secondary schools, but brought them together to form Louth Academy.”
