Nursery in Sleaford sold to Clarence House Day Nurseries
Woodside Children’s Nursery in Sleaford has been sold to an early years chain.
This day nursery operates from premises in Hazel Grove and is registered for 50 children.
Opened 30 years ago by Katie Wood it has been sold on to, Clarence House Day Nurseries, who have setting in Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, Norfolk, Northamptonshire and Lincolnshire.
Under the previous owners it had received a ‘requires improvement’ rating from Ofsted inspectors in 2024, but had been working hard to improve. Mrs Wood is now retiring and has sold on the business, reopening under the new owners in July.
Offering care from three months to eleven years, the nursery also provides before, after and holiday clubs, as well as a school drop-off and collection service.
The buyer, Clarence House Day Nurseries Ltd, is a growing and respected operator within the childcare sector. The acquisition of Woodside Children’s Nursery is said to further strengthen their presence in the East Midlands and supports their ongoing expansion strategy.
