Headteacher Nicola Williams said: “We’re delighted to be able to formally announce when we will move into our new building.

“Projects of this size and scale can be difficult to manage and I’d like to thank everybody involved for keeping to the original schedule, particularly the contractors.”

The school will open for the start of the new spring term next year on Thursday, January 5.

Mrs Williams said: “Making the announcement now gives plenty of time for parents and ourselves to plan for
it.

“It is an incredibly exciting time to be at The Vale Academy.”

To allow sufficient time for the removal process, The Vale has been granted three additional school closure dates for students.

Two teacher training days will also be used which means the academy will break up for Christmas on Tuesday, December 13.

Mrs Williams said: “Parents can be assured that our priority is to ensure a smooth transition to our new school and disruption to students’ learning will be kept to a minimum.

“We will ensure our students catch up with any work missed owing to the three additional days we will be closed.

“The new build represents a wonderful opportunity for existing and future students.”
