As the coronavirus pandemic continues to disrupt everyday life, schools are having to think creatively about how they showcase themselves to families going through the admissions process.

Frithville and New York Primary Schools, part of the Horncastle Education Academy, are among those to have found an alternative approach, having created videos featuring tours of the sites and interviews with headteacher Paul Bargh.

The virtual service launched on the schools’ websites last week.

Mr Bargh said: “Starting primary school is such a significant milestone in any child’s life and we want to make that process as smooth as possible, particularly during these challenging
times.

“The videos on the website really demonstrate what our schools are all about: creating a safe, caring and nurturing environment which encourages the children, but also the staff, to thrive.”

He added: “We hope the videos will help prospective pupils and their parents get to know the staff and students a little bit better before they join us in September next year.”
