QEGS hostscounty event to help KObullying

The event was held at Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School and brought together young people from primary and secondary schools to be trained as Anti-Bullying Ambassadors. The pupils discussed the issue of bullying and received practical ideas and tips on how to stop bullying.

They were handed an action plan aimed to ensure all pupils feel safe.

The programme is run by The Diana Awards and there are over 18,000 trained Ambassadors in more than 2,500 schools across the UK,

Lynda Divers, Deputy Head, at QEGS, said: “We are delighted to be part of the Anti-Bullying Ambassadors Programme and proud to host the training event in which will enable schools to extend their effective anti-bullying programmes.”

The Diana Award was set up in 1999 in memory of Diana, Princess of Wales, as a legacy to her belief of the power of young people to change the world.
