After students had done their bit for the charity effort the previous week, four teams of staff at Kesteven and Sleaford High School competed against each other under the eye of Sleaford’s own Jason ‘Super Mario’ Marriott, the PDC Darts Protégé 2014 Champion, as guest score keeper.

The teams of three battled it out in a lunchtime tournmament last Tuesday watched by students who could buy tables to sit and watch in the style of the Lakeside Country Club.

Winners were the ‘Dye Hard’ team with Assistant Headteacher Cate Tipper taking the final winning shot.

Super Mario took the microphone, helping a packed school hall of students from years 7-13 with their agility in mental arithmetic as well as playing in an exhibition match at the end of the session.

Headteacher Josephine Smith said: “The school’s thanks go to Jason Marriott who helped the school raise over £500 for Sports Relief.”

In all the school hopes to have raised nearly £1,000.

Kesteven and Sleaford High School students took part in a range of activities for Sports Relief including participating in the Sports Relief mile on the school field.

The school’s Year 11 Sports Leaders ran a series of activities for students to get involved in during the week and a staff netball match was held too.
