Taking place until June 16, National Smile Month aims to promote and raise awareness of good oral health.

A spokesman said: “In addition to the Government’s current focus on sugar consumption with the upcoming sugar tax, and to show their support, the team will be holding a children’s open day this Saturday from 10amto 2pm.

“There will be fun and games, storytelling, question time with the dentist, a lucky dip prize draw, a quiz and much more.”

Dr Kajal Bathia from Sleaford Smile Centre added: “We love taking part in National Smile Month.

“That is why we are holding a children’s open day at the practice.

“Our practice believes that prevention is better than cure. We want to help educate children and parents on how to take good care of their teeth.”
