With a donation of materials from Turnbull and Co and the help of volunteers, the hospice now has its own patio area and a pergola for patients to enjoy.

A spokesperson for Turnbull & Co said: “Like many in the community, we know of friends, family and colleagues who have benefited from being aided by the Hospice.”

Volunteers from the BT Openreach Volunteer Tuesday Campaign, decided to dedicate their time and efforts into helping to erect the new pergola in the Hospice gardens.

Tina Dingley, corporate fund-raiser at St Barnabas Hospice in Grantham, was thrilled with all the community support. She said: “In the coming months our patients will have the opportunity to sit outside in the lovely surroundings and enjoy the wonderful garden in the fresh air.”
