United Lincolnshire Hospitals Trust has been chosen as one of the first hospital hubs to give out the vaccine.

A spokesperson for the trust said: “We have been working with partners across the system for many months to prepare for the arrival of the vaccine and we are proud and ready to have one of the first hubs to start vaccinations this week in the county.”

The trust confirmed today that the first vaccinations would be administered tomorrow at the Lincoln County Hospital.

The spokesperson said: “We would like to remind people that they should not come to the hospital for a vaccine without invitation. People will contacted to arrange an appointment when they are invited to attend.”

And they stressed the importance for everyone to continue to follow the rules on social distancing and the other restrictions in place.

Vaccination is only one step in the fight against COVID 19 and we all still need to remain vigilant and follow the local COVID alert level restrictions,” they said.
