Shortly after the government revealed coronavirus cases in Lincolnshire had risen to 275, a police car pulled up outside my home in Burgh le Marsh.

Officers removed their boots, put them in a white bag and then put on forensic suits and masks. They then got back into the vehicle and sped off in a blue light run towards the village.

A post on Facebook .shortly after what I had witnessed at 6pm described an incident alleged to have taken place in Wainfleet when a patient was returned home by ambulance.

The police said: "Our officers attended at an address on Queens Estate, Wainfleet St Mary, Skegness.

"We assisted colleagues in the TASI with a patient who was reportedly being abusive and difficult.

"The man was not arrested and no-one was injured."
