The Go Fund PPE appeal set up by Rachel Bray at the beginning of April with a target of £1,000 broke the £20,000 barrier over the weekend.

Rachel said she was totally overwhelemed and thanked everyone who had contributed time or money.

Thousands of items of PPE have now gone to Pilgrim Hospital including 1,000 shields.

The face shields have been made by Stephen Russell and Brad Bourne, with the help of 3D printers and acetate sheets bought with appeal funds.

Rachel said the feedback from the staff had been wonderful.

The total raised today (Thursday) was around £20,500 and rising.
