Tour operator, car rental company and amusement arcades are among those likely to be eligible for business rates relief offered to the hospitality and leisure sector as part of the government’s Covid-19 response.

Boston Borough Council says it has extended its business rates relief scheme to include these businesses.

Others likely to qualify include Marinas, boat hire and passenger boat facilities; coach operators; and conference and exhibition venues.

Clive Gibbon, economic development manager at Boston Borough Council, said: “We are here to help all local businesses not only during this unsettling economic period but also to support them and their employees to economically bounce back and recover.

“We are also working hard across the local authority to support our small businesses and those in the retail, hospitality and leisure sectors who qualify under the Covid-19 business support programmes to issue the financial funding announced by government at the beginning of the outbreak in the UK.

“I would also point all business to our Covid-19 updates at www.mybostonuk.com/coronavirus where you will find useful help, support and guidance along with the Small Business Grants and Retail, Hospitality and Leisure application forms”.
