CORONAVIRUS: Lincolnshire school pupils set to compete in sporting events with virtual games
The School Games are organised by Active Lincolnshire and the School Games Organisers of Lincolnshire.
It is a hugely popular programme which organisers say is designed to keep competitive sport at the heart of schools and provide young people with the opportunity to compete and achieve their personal best.

Hide AdThe two organisations have teamed up to offer a different virtual competition will be launched each week from this Monday (20 April).
Primary and secondary school pupils will be competing on alternative weeks, submitting videos of themselves completing the challenges set for the games.
A winner from each School Games Organiser area will be selected by judges for each sport and the winners will be shared and celebrated by Active Lincolnshire and the School Sports Partnerships on the Lincolnshire School Games County Finals day – Wednesday 1 July.
The first competition, for senior schools, is a dance one, and is called Dancing in Ice-olation. Details are due to be released today.
The first primary school event is athletics the week after.
Other challenges include cricket, running, tennis, netball, and golf.
