The sad news that three more people have died in United Lincolnshire Trust hospitals was released last night.

It came as figures showed the number of confirmed cases in the county now stands at 252.

A spokesperson for ULHT said of the latest deaths: “Sadly we can confirm that three further patients who were being cared for in our hospitals, and had tested positive for COVID-19, have died. This brings the total number of deaths in ULHT hospitals to 24.

“The patients were two women aged 55 and 82, and one man aged 76. All had underlying health conditions.

“Their families have been informed and our thoughts and condolences are with them at this difficult and distressing time.”

Nationally, latest figures show 47,806 confirmed cases of Covid-19 and 4,934 deaths.
