Coronavirus (Tuesday): Four more patients die in Lincolnshire hospitals - bringing total to 28

The total number of patients to have died with coronavirus in Lincolnshire’s hospitals now stands at 28, health chiefs have confirmed today (Tuesday).

Figures released this afternoon show that four more people have died in United Lincolnshire Health Trust (ULHT) hospitals.

A spokesperson for ULHT said: “Sadly we can confirm that four further patients who were being cared for in our hospitals, and had tested positive for COVID-19, have died.

“This brings the total number of deaths in ULHT hospitals to 28.

“The patients were three men aged 74, 82 and 86, and one woman aged 71. All had underlying health conditions.

“Their families have been informed and our thoughts and condolences are with them at this difficult and distressing time.”

According to the Department for Health and Social Care, as of 9am today (April 7), 266,694 tests have concluded, with 14,006 tests yesterday (April 6).

213,181 people have been tested of which 55,242 tested positive.

As of 5pm on yesterday (April 6), of those hospitalised in the UK who tested positive for coronavirus, 6,159 have sadly died.
