Coronavirus (Wednesday): No new deaths at hospitals across Greater Lincolnshire

NHS statistics for today (Wednesday) show figures for all hospital trusts as follows:

• 140 at United Lincolnshire Hospitals Trust

• 3 at Lincolnshire Community Health Service hospitals

• 1 at Lincolnshire Partnership Foundation Trust

• 117 in Northern Lincolnshire and Goole

The total for Greater Lincolnshire remains at 332 for the second day in the row and the first day of the month.

Nationally, a further 50 people who tested positive for the Coronavirus have died, in England’s hospitals bringing the total to 28,759.

Updated case numbers will be released later today, however, according to government figures for Tuesday the total for Lincolnshire rose to 1,158.

North Lincolnshire and North East Lincolnshire numbers stayed steady at 424 and 166 respectively.

It means the total for the Greater Lincolnshire area increased to at 1,848.

However, reports this morning could see figures expected to rise “significantly” as “community testing” data from Lincolnshire Showground, mobile testing units and home test kits is filtered down to local authorities.

Health bosses have been calling for the data for weeks but have only just received it and are still going through the numbers.
