Figures revealed last night show two more people have died in United Lincolnshire Health Trust hospitals.

The total number of confirmed cases in Lincolnshire now stands at 153.

A spokesperson for ULHT said of the latest deaths: “Sadly we can confirm that two further patients who were being cared for in our hospitals, and had tested positive for COVID-19, have died. This brings the total number of deaths in ULHT hospitals to 11.

“The patients were one woman aged 80 and one man aged 74. Both had underlying health conditions.

“Their families have been informed and our thoughts and condolences are with them at this difficult and distressing time.”

The first fatality reported in Lincolnshire was a week ago, with figures jumping to six over the weekend.

In total, six men and five women aged 55 upwards have died at ULHT hospitals. The trust is not confirming which hospitals they are being treated at, but it is known patients with coronavirus were being treated in Boston Pilgrim and Lincoln hospitals.
