Donation of televisions and radios for care home residents in isolation

Residents at a Lincolnshire care home are keeping entertained thanks to a generous donation of televisions and radios.

Spilsby Rotary Club said it came to members' attention that the town's Eresby Care Home had socially isolated residents into there rooms because of Covid-19, but some did not have any televisions or radios.

"Along with Tong Engineering, Spilsby WI and Spilsby Show, we gave the home four televisions, three radios and a couple of dozen word search books," said Peter Butler of Spilsby Rotary Club.

"We also made a £500 donation to Horncastle and Woodhall Spa Scrubs.

"The club continues to have weekly meetings on Zoom, so if anyone wants our help, we can do our best."
