From Halton Holgate care home with love

The generosity of the public has meant carers at a home in Holton Holgate have been able to move in to reduce the risk of residents catching coronavirus.

An appeal was launched in the Standard last week for caravans for the Old Hall at Holton Holegate, where where the carers could stay during lockdown.

Di Vale, Care Home Manager, said: "We are very lucky at the moment that we have not had any cases of this dreaded virus and we are

intending to keep it this way.

"Several of our amazing staff are planning to “move in “ to the home to reduce the risk of any one contracting the virus.

"We have had a good response to our plea for some caravans so that the staff have somewhere to sleep.

"We want to send a big thank you to Adam Reavill, Richard Campling and Richard Disney for their kind generosity."

In addition residents have been working on posters to send some 'Dunkirk Spirit' to family members unable to visit them at the moment.

"Our residents have lots to do as our lovely activities co-ordinators have an full program to keep them stimulated and happy, " explained Di.
