Help is at hand for people made redundant through Covid-19

Help is at hand for people in Lincolnshire who have lost their job, who have had their working hours reduced or whose job is at risk because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Greater Lincolnshire Local Enterprise Partnership is working with Futures to provide support to individuals financially impacted by the crisis.

Futures currently delivers the National Careers Service in the East Midlands and East of England and is working hard to help those affected by the coronavirus across Lincolnshire and Rutland to get back into work and training.

Futures careers coaches are working remotely over the phone, by video chat or via email to help people find and apply for jobs.

Support available includes:

• One-to-one virtual face-to-face support through Skype, Microsoft Teams, WhatsApp and other online digital platforms

• Help with getting back into work, including jobs with a high number of vacancies during the crisis

• Support with choosing a new career

• Help with writing or updating your CV

• Advice on completing application forms

• Interview techniques and tips

• Help to identify your key transferable skills and abilities

• Help with enhancing your skills

• Advice on free training opportunities

• Access to a range of free adult education courses delivered remotely

• Live apprenticeship opportunities
