Get help and advice at free menopause wellbeing day
A locally-based personal wellbeing service is holding a free, National Lottery Community Funded Menopause Wellbeing Day in Sleaford.
Wellingore-based Every-One is a charity that works inclusively with people to develop and deliver a range of person-centred services and projects that work towards ‘making wellbeing personal’.
As part of the Peri Meri Menopause Moments Project, they offer support for those who are going through the menopause.
A spokesperson for the charity explained: “We do this by supporting individuals, employers and employees in the workplace and by working with organisations and individuals to provide alternative ways to support menopause holistically. These events are a way of showcasing what is already out there in terms of this support.”

Anyone is welcome to attend the event which is funded by the National Lottery Community Fund. They are free and there is no need to register, just pop in at any time throughout the day to find information and support for menopause. You might be attending for yourself or someone you know who is finding menopause difficult.
You may not be going through the menopause or know anyone who is. In that case you can come along to get information around wellbeing generally. The information on offer can support everyone, whether they’re experiencing menopause symptoms or not.
The event is happening from 10am to 2pm on Saturday (May 16) at St Denys’ Church Room, Market Place, Sleaford, NG34 7SH.
They said: “We are offering half hour sessions on different topics throughout the day. These sessions provide more in-depth information around subjects such as nutrition, managing anxiety and sleep. Sessions may vary for each event."
There are free half hour sessions at specific times throughout the day – 11.15am – Getting Better Sleep (Lincolnshire Sleep Hub); 12.15pm – Menopause Symptoms & You (Paula Batchelor, Peri Meri Project Lead); 1.15pm – Mindfulness & Meditation (Stuart Couling).
These sessions will be held in a first floor room accessed via a staircase. If you have access requirements and would like to attend email in advance at [email protected]
A number of providers are also having information stalls at the event – Dragonfly Clinical Hypnotherapy, Green & Natural Living, Hannah Price Reflexology, Lincolnshire Sleep Hub, Lincolnshire Talking Therapies, Menopause Support, and The Wellness Studio.
If you are an individual or an organisation and you feel that what you offer could support menopause or wellbeing in general, then you can join in by registering for a free table, email: [email protected]
Better Leisure will be offering free health checks throughout the day in the form of body composition scales, grip strength and blood pressure checks.
