Join online seminar about Lincolnshire’s mental health services

Following World Mental Health Day (Saturday), Lincolnshire County Council and partners will be outlining the support in place to promote good mental health and wellbeing, from 1pm until 3pm on Monday afternoon.

“The challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic have brought the importance of mental health and wellbeing into even sharper focus”, said Councillor Mrs Patricia Bradwell, Executive Councillor for Adult Care, Health and Children’s Services.

“For many people it left them, unable to see friends and family, exercise and take in the activities that kept them healthy.”

“We’ve been working with our partners to ensure there is a range of services for everyone who needs it, from childhood to old age.

“We want to ensure the support is there to stop people from falling into serious mental health difficulties and needing even more intense support further down the line. A good mind and body leads to a happy and healthy life where people can succeed in what they want to do,”

Highlighted support will include:

• Specialist, targeted services for people with long-term physical and mental health conditions, those with complex needs and those adversely affected by Covid-19.

• Lincolnshire Mental Health Crisis Care mental health hub and helpline which signposts people to places of support in their area.

• Lincolnshire County Council Connect 2 Support Directory, the Night Light Service, and LPFT crisis team.

• The SHINE Network will outline their mental health and wellbeing plans.

• GP community mental health support

• Community outreach support project in Spilsby and Skegness

• Lincolnshire Clinical Commissioning Group’s plans for new place based mental health teams, a personality disorder service and community rehabilitation service.
