Sam Sleight Head of Dispute Resolution at Hodgkinsons Solicitors, plans to cycle 400 miles throughout the month of May for St Barnabas Hospice Lincolnshire.
Last month, Sam committed himself to taking part in the ‘Don’t Quit, Get Fit’
challenge to raise vital funds for a charity close to his heart.
This challenge is hosted by St Barnabas but allows Sam to choose the extent of his challenge.
To complete the challenge, Sam will need to cycle 13 miles a day to accomplish his mission.
Sam has a fundraising goal of £400, which equates to a donation of £1 per mile.
The money raised will contribute to the fantastic work that St Barnabas Hospice
It will allow them to continue to provide palliative care to those living in Lincolnshire with a terminal or life limiting disease.
Sam commented: “Throughout the past year charities have really struggled,
which is why I wanted to take on this challenge.
"I am keen to raise as much money as possible through this challenge, in order to aid the survival of the fantastic charity that is St Barnabas.
"It would be devasting if our community was to lose valuable organisations
such as this, but we can all do our bit to help to prevent this.”
Sam’s bike challenge is now live but if you wish to sponsor him you can do so by heading to his Just Giving page at https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/sam-sleight2
