Sleaford's parish church is following Church of England advice not to hold services until further notice in light of the coronavirus pandemic, but priests are finding other ways to support their parishioners.

A parish spokesman said: "‘Following advice from the Bishops of Canterbury and York, St Denys' Church and other Anglican churches in the area have been closed for public worship.

"The door of St Denys' will be open as usual so people can go in and find a place to say a prayer or light a candle if they wish.

Other churches are announcing that they will be closed until further notice, such as St Michael and All Angels Church in Heydour and Culverthorpe, although for anyone needing help they should contact

Churchwarden Norman Hatcliff on 07879 447 427 or Sarah on 01529 455873.
