Members were greeted in the foyer by an authentic-looking witch bending over a cauldron. They were encouraged to enter into the ‘spirit’ of the evening by being given masks and pointed hats. Serving drinks were witch Pam Storey and cat Paula Todd. As midnight approached, illusionist Bernard Hughes performed a levitation sequence with his assistant Honor.
