NOSTALGIA: Coronation Street actor draws big crowd at ribbon-cutting in Boston in 1981
Coronation Street actor, the late Johnny Briggs drew a big crowd in Boston’s High Street 40 years ago.
Johnny – who played factory boss Mike Baldwin in the soap from 1976 to 2006 – was in town to officially open the new £50,000 Silver Dollar amusements arcade and cafeteria.
After cutting the ribbon, the star was besieged by youngsters and mums seeking his autograph.
