Nostalgia: Kirkby kids meet minister
In 1994, pupils from Kirkby on Bain CE Primary School impressed a Government minister so much with a book they had written about country life that he invited them to the House of Commons to meet him.
The youngsters took up the offer and met up with the Minister of Agriculture, William Waldegrave, who discussed the book the children had written, alongside Lincolnshire author Molly Burkett.
