NOSTALGIA: Kirton youngsters make own pedal-powered fire engines in 1997

Youngsters at Kirton Primary School’s nursery unit took on the role of firefighters 25 years ago.

The children had visited the village’s fire station as part of a topic on careers and used the hoses and had a ride on the engine.

Following their return to the unit, they made their own little pedal-powered fire engines and hoses.
