Two London models showed off the latest trends in knitwear, while male models sported smart clothes by London designer James Norbury.

The show was organised by Margaret Jessop, owner of the wool shop in Wide Bargate, and was held in aid of children with disabilities.

A key figure in the ‘Swinging Sixties’ scene, Quant is credited with popularising super-high hemlines and other irreverent looks of the era.
