Nostalgia: Schoolchildren get a taste of India and winners announced in school Easter bonnet competition
Here are two photographs that appeared in the Sleaford Standard 10 years this week.
Pictured first are Class 4B pupils from Ruskington’s Chestnut Street School visiting a local Indian restaurant.
The year group had been studying India for the past two terms. To mark the end of the work, the pupils were invited to visit the Green Elachi Indian restaurant, in Ruskington, over two days to experience food typical of the nation.
Also pictured are the winners of Kirkby la Thorpe School’s Easter bonnet competition.
More than 60 children entered the competition and showed off their bonnets in a parade in front of the school in the morning.
