NOSTALGIA: TV star officially opens shop in 1985
TV personality and ventriloquist Neville King opened the new Boston branch of Times Furnishing in the Market Place this week in 1985, watched by manager Derek Alathorpe and shoppers.
The Boston store and 250 other new branches of Times Furnishing up and down the country all opened simultaneously the same day.
Every visitor to the shop on the Friday and Saturday was given a free glass of champagne.
