RETRO: Boston pupils dig into school's past 30 years ago
Boston Staniland pupils were digging into the school’s past 30 years ago.
Youngsters were taking part in an archaeological study ahead of the creation of a new nature area.
Work included cleaning and recording all their finds.
Community archaeologist Jim Bonner, who was helping with the dig, said: “It’s gone very well. The children seem to have picked it up very quickly – the smallest things create the most excitement, especially the worms.”
