TEN YEARS AGO: Boston school receives award from UNICEF

St Mary’s RC Primary School, in Boston, received The Rights Respecting Award from UNICEF 10 years ago.

The honour, which can still be gained today, encourages schools to place the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child at the heart of its curriculum.

Pupils at the school in Ashlawn Drive have spent the previous year learning about the award.
Head teacher Jean Lammond said she was ‘extremely proud’ of pupils and staff.
