TEN YEARS AGO: Club revving up for annual charity ride from Skegness to dog sanctuary

Skegness Motor Cycle Club was getting set to take part in their annual charity ride to Jay-Gees dog sanctuary at Algakirk 10 years ago.

Numbers would go on to be down that year due to rain the previous night, but 25 bikers still managed to make the journey.

They were met on their arrival by the friendly staff, who prepared a lunchtime snack as a thankyou for the car full of food the secretary had taken along.

One of the members, Natalie Grice Rutter, had collected £140 in donations, which she presented to the sanctuary as well.
