TEN YEARS AGO: Halton Holegate pupils complete virtual cycle ride along Great Wall of China
A virtual bike ride the length of the Great Wall of China was completed by pupils from Halton Holegate Primary School 10 years ago.
The school was one of 17 in the county to take part in the Big Bike Race, a competition organised by Lincolnshire County Council in a bid to encourage more children to cycle to school.
It involved schools being awarded points for the number of pupils biking to school.
Every point earned by the school tallied with miles on a virtual journey along the Great Wall of China.
