TEN YEARS AGO: Historic buildings at Skegness Railway Station bulldozed as part of £21 million scheme
Demolition work at Skegness Railway Station stepped up a gear 10 years ago as bulldozers began tearing down dilapidated old buildings.
The works formed part of a £21 million scheme from Network Rail to renew the old track between Boston and Skegness and improve the station.
Tourist leaders had welcomed the investment which they hoped would provide holidaymakers with a more attractive first impression of the town.
