The Second World War stepped out of the history textbook and into the classroom at Wrangle Primary School 10 years ago.

Paul and Linda Britchford, of We’ll Meet Again Collectables, visited the school with an array of period items, such as uniforms, gas masks and deactivated weapons.

Children in Years Five and Six had the chance to handle the wartime pieces, bringing to life their current studies of the conflict.

Teacher Vicky Jackson described it as ‘a museum brought to the school’.

“All the children really enjoyed it, they were mesmerised by it,” she said.
