Here are six pieces from our titles a decade ago – one each from the Boston Standard, Horncastle News, Louth Leader, Market Rasen Mail, Skegness Standard and Sleaford Standard.
5. Skegness
Skegness Town Council was counting the cost of repairs to the Sunshine Play Area, in Grand Parade. The sum - £2,345.10 - included addressing acts of vandalism. Photo: Skegness Standard library image
6. Sleaford
The Grade II* listed former Bass Maltings, in Sleaford, joined the likes of the Houses of Parliament and Windsor Castle on a rundown of landmark landmarks compiled by the head of English Heritage Dr Simon Thurley for The Daily Telegraph newspaper. Of the building, he wrote: “Over the holiday, I passed Sleaford Maltings, the incredible industrial complex that the Bass Brewery built in Lincolnshire. It is a heart-stopping sight but it is also derelict and in urgent need of a new use. The heritage crisis of the 21st century is the fate of our industrial past.” Photo: David Dawson
