TEN YEARS AGO: Skegness school raises hundreds for Haiti earthquake appeal
Skegness Grammar School pupils are pictured during a charity non uniform day 10 years ago.
The fundraiser brought in £700 for an appeal organised by Rotary International in aid of the people of Haiti.
The nation was hit by a major earthquake on January 10 of that year. About 250,000 people died in the disaster, with 300,000 more injured.
The children are pictured with a special guest on the day – Rotarian and fire service search and rescue expert Rob Wilkinson, who talked about his work in Haiti as part of a team freeing victims from the rubble.
