TEN YEARS AGO: Village play park gets a £50,000 re-vamp

New play and exercise facilities at Willoughby Playing Field were officially unveiled 10 years ago.

The equipment – funded by a £50,000 Play England grant – included a new zip line, trampoline, goal posts, and climbing frame.
Alongside the grant, more money was raised by pupils at St Helena’s Primary School pupils to buy a new picnic bench.
