The Alford branch of the National Farmers’ Union donated the bacon for the event, which aimed to promote locally produced food and the value of a good meal at the start of the day.
Handling the cooking duties was chairman of governors Barbara Pearson. Administrator Helen Brough said: “We would like to thank the NFU for the food which the children really enjoyed. The event and the bacon sandwiches both went down very well.”
