Amateurs check into Fawlty Towers

Two classic episodes from the hugely popular TV series Fawlty Towers are to be recreated in Metheringham this week as part of a run of shows by a local amateur dramatics group.

Metheringham Amateur Dramatics presents Fawlty Towers on Friday, at 7.30pm, and Saturday, at 2.30pm and 7.30pm.

Based on the John Cleese and Connie Booth comedy, it will feature the The Germans – perhaps the best known of all Fawlty Towers episodes – and Basil the Rat.

Performances will take place at Metheringham Village Hall, in Fen Road.

It is part of a run of shows that began on Saturday.

Tickets are priced at £18 per person.

Evening performances include a Ploughman’s Supper (with a vegetarian option available).

The matinee performance includes afternoon tea.

Tickets are available from Salon 32 and Metheringham Convenience Store, both in High Street, Metheringham.
