Back after gap of 40-plus years

Hunter Muskett play The Solo Club, in Market Place, on Wednesday, June 15, at 8pm.

The band formed at London’s Avery Hill College in 1969 and would go on to by signed by Decca.

They went on to play professionally for more than five years playing at clubs, colleges, and festivals both at home and abroad.

One of the band – Roger Trevitt – had grown up in Heckington and Hunter Muskett came to Sleaford to perform on a couple of occasions in the early ‘70s.

From 1969-1974, they recorded two, now collectable, albums: Every Time You Move and Hunter Muskett.

Writing at the time of Every Time You Move’s re-issue in 2009, Rolling Stone said the album ‘masterly skirts the boundaries of baroque pop and folk-rock’ while Record Collector Magazine described it as ‘an underground gem’.

Since re-forming in 2010, Hunter Muskett tour again when schedules permit.

An album of new material, titled That Was Then This Is Now, was released in 2013 with another due this year.
