Bassetlaw’s Big Day Out

HUNDREDS descended upon Worksop’s Clumber Park for a day of Olympic fun at Bassetlaw’s Big Day Out.

The all-day event saw a range of fun activities, including a free classes in Tai Chi, Zumba martial arts, dance, yoga and much more.

Many brought picnics, while others enjoyed the tasty selection of healthy and budget friendly treats on offer in the special food court and food market - as well as unique cooking demonstrations from the likes of Jamie Oliver’s Ministry of Food.

Fun was had by young and old alike, as kids were treated to paintballing, drumming workshops, an inflatable football pitch, shooting gallery, power rising stilts, and children’s mini boot camp.

The highlight of the day, however was the Bassetlaw Mile race, led by local Olympic torch bearers Michele Harrop, Keeley Shaw and Tony Eaton.
